In our case I'm actually glad the preseason is four games long. We need more games to get our blocking going. If that's even possible for this team.

Geez...no lie. The defense did show me something before they finally got gassed in the 4th quarter but the o-line shows no heart at all. Or they are just too confused. I don't know.

Other than the first play I thought the D played MUCH better than last week. The 2nd unit included. King continues to make plays. I'm still not convinced Dzubnar makes the team, picking up a Seattle LB cut would be a nice replacement/upgrade. Maybe let Harris or Onwualu try to play in the middle. McCain should make the 53 man roster.

Nah, these games mean nothing. Even from a player evaluation standpoint. Practices are players trying to make the squad. Preseason games are guys trying to avoid injury

i hear what you're saying - and hope to God you're right - but Lynn didn't sound too happy after talking about players not competing well. I can only imagine he was referring to the o-line.

The 99 yd int return wasn't a play that was very impressive to me. The ball went right into McCoil's arms and if he didn't catch it, it would have been a poor play. It was a catch that a pro is expected to make. Where was Artavous Scott tonight? After hearing about a good week in practice, was expecting to see him make some plays in the game.

I agree. It wasn't as if McCoil stepped in front of a WR to make a play. That was just a poorly thrown ball - thrown behind a WR. But at least McCoil did catch it and then ran the length of the field! Gotta give McCoil credit for that.
