Probably too much for us to take on as well.

Cleveland needs to find a way to lose 2 more games. They're still better than NY Jets.

My prediction for tonight. Ekeler will tear it up. I liked what I saw already. He will show some good stuff. We will cut him. New England will pick him up and he will turn into a star. And I will have nightmares of Wes Welker again. I was furious when we cut him. haha Watch.

The Patriots dont need him. They have Mike Gillislee, Rex Burkhead, Dion Lewis and James White who all have been productive

More like a Woodhead cut. So Ekeler will put up Woodhead game 4 preseason numbers when he was with the jets. Which were monster numbers. Made the initial roster and then waived.

He has been TERRIBLE boltjolt. Just pathetic. They moved him all over the line because he sucked so bad at each spot they hoped he might not be as bad at the next one. And he was worse each time. He opened at LT this preseason and I think he had 3 holding calls in a row. Not worth a 5rh round pick. The chiefs gor jobbed.

This would be my guess for the 46 who suit up against Denver. Then you got 7 more for the 53. Perryman, Farrow, Harris(maybe PS) or Perry, Burwell, Cardale, Scott, Reed, ????? So hard to make cuts. MW goes on PUP. This is my best guess. Unless im forgetting obvious good players. lol

              QB - Rivers, Clemens
RB - Gordon, Oliver, Ekeler, Watt
WR - Allen, Tyrell, Inman, Benjamin, Davis
              TE - Gates, Henry, McGrath
              OT - Okung, Barksdale, Hairston
              OG - Slausson, Wiggins, Feeney
              C - Pulley

DE - Bosa, Ingram, Palepoi, McCain, Attaochu
DT - Mebane, Liuget, Square, Philon
LB - Brown, Toomer, Dzubner, Emmanual, Anwualu
CB - Verrett, Hayward, King(CB/FS), Williams, Davis
              S - Addai, Boston, McCoil

Yes its kinda tough. I havent been real impressed with either of Emannual, Harris or Anwualu. Too bad they are all LBs. Dzubner has also been kinda, meh. Not good for the LB unit. WR Davis from my perspective hasnt shown much either and i keep hearing that Lynn really likes him. He looks slow to me. I hope they keep Scott at least on the PS.

LB unit is a mess. Im shocked this is what we have. But this isnt based on what i want. Its what i think may happen. They clearly werent worried about protecting Kyle tonight as he was playing. I dont feel good about our LBs going into the season. I would look at moving Inman for one pronto. Davis had a really good camp. And yes Lynn likes him. He likes both Davis's (CB) thats why i think he makes it.

I'm gonna take a stab.. although, honestly I didn't bother to watch the game tonight.

                  QB - 3
                  Philip Rivers
                  Kellen Clemens
                  Cardale Jones

I think you guys are undervaluing Clemens. Obviously if Rivers goes down we're not going to win with either Clemens or Jones, so why not keep the guy with upside. I get that. But thats why we keep 3. Clemmens is supposed to be a really great in the film room guy, and even if he's not a great quarterback on the field, If he's a guy who helps us win games by helping Rivers prepare, he's worth having on the team.

                  RB - 3/6
                  Melvin Gordon
                  Brandon Oliver
                  Austin Ekeler

I just think these are the only three worth keeping.

                  FB - 1/7
                  Derek Watt

                  WR - 5/12
                  Keenan Allen
                  Tyrell Williams
                  Travis Benjamin
                  Dontrelle Inman
                  Geremy Davis
                  **Mike Williams** (PUP)

I won't be surprised if they don't keep Inman, but Rivers likes him. I suspect if we can't trade him for OL or LB depth, we keep him. Davis will get cut when Williams is back.

                  TE - 4/16
                  Hunter Henry
                  Antonio Gates
                  Jeff Cumberland
                  Sean Culkin

Since I don't have 4 RB's I get to sneak Culkin onto the squad.

                  OLine - 8/24
                  Russell Okung
                  Matt Slauson
                  Spencer Pulley
                  Kenny Wiggins
                  Joe Barksdale
                  Chris Hairston
                  Dan Feeney
                  Max Tuerk

I mean, honestly, they'll probably keep Burwell, but I just don't think he's worth keeping. Hairston can play swing tackle, again Rivers loves the guy, thats got to be worth something.

                  DE - 2/26
                  Joey Bosa
                  Tenny Palepoi

The team made a point of keeping Palepoi, and he played well as a backup last season.

                  LEO - 3/29
                  Melvin Ingram
                  Chris McCain
                  Jeremiah Attaochu

Attaochu is probably pretty lucky not to get cut. But I suspect he'll be given one more season to show his worth.

                  DT - 3/32
                  Corey Liuget
                  Darius Philon
                  Caraun Reid

                  NT - 2/34
                  Brandon Mebane
                  Damion Square

                  LB - 6/40
                  Jatavis Brown
                  Korey Toomer
                  Kyle Emmanuel
                  Nigel Harris
                  James Onuwalu
                  Nick Dzubner
***Denzel Perryman (IR to return, or PUP. I'm not sure what the rules allow, but he'll be set aside from the 53 somehow)

I think Dzubner is the odd man out when Perryman returns.

                  CB - 4/44
                  Jason Verrett
                  Casey Hayward
                  Trevor Williams
                  Michael Davis

The defensive backs could really go any which way. But, with King able to play Corner, and probably the starting 3rd corner, even if he's officially listed as a Safety, I think we can keep the only 4 worth keeping. In fact.. you could probably see my grouping here as 5 corners and 5 safeties if you want to read it that way. I'm just going by the Chargers depth chart in terms of position.

                  FS - 3/47
                  Dwight Lowery
                  Desmond King
                  Tre Boston

                  SS - 3/50
                  Jahleel Addae
                  Adrian Phillips
                  Dexter McCoil

It wouldn't surprise me if Jenkins makes the team over McCoil, just because he was drafted. But I feel like McCoil has outplayed him and has earned the spot.

                  K - 1/51
                  Josh Lambo

I mean, we all wanted Koo to win this, but it doesn't seem like he did.

                  P - 2/52
                  Drew Kaser

I don't think there's any doubt Kaser beat out Baker

                  LS - 3/53
                  Mike Windt

I'm probably way off base on a few of these.. but such as it is.. that is my stab at the 53. What I'm actually displeased about.. is in the end.. this has the potential to be a really historically terrible draft. MIke Williams and Lamp's injuries. Feeney and King make the team. But I don't have Jenkens, Tevi or Rochelle. Thats 5 players from this draft that aren't on the team opening day. Jenkins Tevi and Rochelle (as well as Artavis Scott) could end up on the PS. Time will tell. King is promising. Williams and Lamp could come back and beast it up, Jenkins, Tevi and Rochelle still have potential to carve out solid careers. But, it's an auspicious start to be sure.

I just realized I forgot about Tuerk's suspension. And I think I saw that Clark got injured. So, I guess we'll see how bad the injury is, but it'd be him or Burwell while Tuerk serves his suspension.

Perryman was able to play in preseason, so not eligible for PUP.

Pretty good guess screeme. Only things different for me is replace Phillips with Jenkins as he has more upside. I think they go with 9 DL so someone has to go. My guess, Reid.CBs, I think Trovon Reed will stick somehow but Lynn want here last year so I don't know. He is better than Davis imo and lastly, i think McGrath is better than Culkin.

Lowery was on the field a lot last night, so he was playing for his job... and probably lost it. Boston didn't play, so I think he's in. Carrethers is on the bubble. I expect that Clark and Perry will be IR'ed, though I don't think they have season ending injuries.
