If only we hired Mike Zimmer when he was available. He has built a tough, tough smashmouth team in MIN and they have won games and have been competitive no matter what the personnel are, no matter who's in there as QB, RB. And he wasn't even have the prime Peterson to begin with. And it's not like Bridgewater is some kind of an elite QB. They could have gotten him back when they did the search for Marty's replacement. Some guys just don't do well in interviews, but also, I think the ownership likes "nice guys" that match their style. If anything, I wish they could have kept Ron Rivera as a HC in waiting, but you knew that with a #1 D statistically, he was finally going to break through to get hired as a HC, and Norv was still winning.

I've been keeping an eye on how rookie DE Derek Barnett has been doing in Philly, and he's improving as the season goes on. Now has 4.5 sacks and 24 qb hits and hurries. Would have loved this pick instead of Mike Williams.Comment
