That's why they should run the ball in the red zone more.
So let's talk about Danny Woodhead

When you're down in the redzone, opponents know we'll most likely run if Mathews is in. But then again, when he's not in opponents know we're just gonna be pass happy at the goalline, and we'll only run using the same tired draw play with woodhead.

Woodhead did look good as a KR. Huge improvement from Richard Goodman. Woodhead fights for every single yard whenever he is on the field.

No blocking back = nickel defense ---> Negates Woodheads effectiveness.Originally posted by BoltBalls View PostWould it be crazy to have BOTH Woodhead and Mathews on the field during certain down and distances? .Prediction:
Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

PFF:
- As a receiver out of the backfield only Darren Sproles can match Danny Woodhead’s remarkable productivity. Sproles leads the NFL as a halfback in Yards per Route Run with 2.66 but Woodhead is second with 2.17 and Woodhead has a knack of getting into the end zone with two more touchdowns.Hashtag thepowderblues

I thought the one hand catch by Allen was the play that gave us the momentum. But those plays by Woodhead and Tutu were clutch, something this team is generally missing.Originally posted by Buck View PostWe lose without Woodhead's back to back catches on
the final drive. His ability to juke the 1st defender and still get out of bounds was huge. Play of the game except the final TD.
