It's too early to give up on Gordon. He's not even 100% this year. The OL lacks of physical talents and inconsistent. Give him some time.

I think Gordon is a good back. However our offensive line is one of the worst run blocking units in the NFL. How you can judge a RB behind a bad offensive line is beyond me. Todd Gurley "sucked last yr" because his offensive line was awful. This yr the offensive line is much improved and what do you know todd gurley is one of the top backs in the league again. RB is dependent on the o line unless you are truly great in which case you can do well regardless of the line. Clearly melvin gordon isnt truly great but he is very good and it isnt his fault our line is awful

Melvin isn't bad, but he's certainly not great.

And he gets tripped up Waaaay too often by an arm on the leg, or if it's one on one. He just does. Not everyone is a superstar.

I think Gordon is exactly what we see, average.

I'm encouraged that Head Coach Lynn recognizes Gordon isn't good for us. There is some light at the end of this tunnel. I'll ride with him for now - as we really don't have much choice - but I'm already looking forward to a much more instinctive and tougher running back in our backfield next year.

The worse the weather gets down the stretch the more valuable Gordon becomes, he still can be an important cog in the offense.

What year has he been 100% in? He has size and speed but just doesn't seem to have the instinct, moves and balance that a good to great back has.

If Gordon have had 3 straight stink years then I would give up on him. But the fact that he had such promising year last year, IMO he deserve some patient and some more time. Last year he was a quality 3 downs back, a TD maker and a nice weapon in the passing game.

This year he's inconsistent. But who on offense is consistent this year? Rivers? Allen? No one. The whole offense stink this year for whatever reasons. And it's not like Gordon is "horrible" this year. He's just average this season. Remember, Allen also had an really average 2nd season when he was healthy. Todd Gurley, too. Hopefully Gordon last year version shows up more consistently. Also, the Bills game are the only game so far that the OL is physical and consistent.

Any team would have had a hard time running into that Cowboys D. Lots of extra guy up around the line, slanting and stunting into gaps making it hard for our blockers to know who to block. Gordon should make more out of what is there, but there wasn't much there at times

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

unless that's all he needs. In that case I might call him "stuffed".
