I still think he would have been there and we didn't need to trade up. But, the kid does deserve more time to grow. This time next year we'll know exactly what we have in him.
Teo is improving?

I'm willing to cut him some slack since he did miss nearly all of pre-season. It's got to be tough on a rookie to come in and just play at this level when you miss so much time. That he keeps getting better bodes well for him, but he can't possibly get nearly the day to day instruction during the season as he would in pre-season.
After the season, he'll have plenty of tape to analyze and the coaches can give him specific areas to work on. \
But homeless is right... expectations have been artificially inflated, not just because we traded up for him (That is certainly a factor) but, he was one of, if not, *the* best defensive player in college. It sucks for him, but he's just not going to get the patience he probably will need from the fans.

He's never going to be a flashy MLB, but he could be solid for quite a few years. Listening to his interviews before training camp he kept mentioning how much there is to learn and he seems to be someone who takes that part of the game seriously. His "instincts" will continue to improve as he gets more comfortable in the system. I noticed slight hesitations on some reads of RB's coming out of the backfield. It was almost like you could see his mind was processing what he was seeing, analyzing what he was supposed to do, then doing it. Those reads should become quicker the more reps he gets.
Now as far as getting off of blocks, a better nose tackle would probably help a lot.

I think he's definately improving...not as slow to get to places."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."
