Rose is only available because the regular Redskins kicker (Dustin Hopkins) had an injury, got IR'd, and is now back. Redskins fans I talk to were fine with him. He isn't as good as Hopkins, but he is better than anyone we have had by a fair margin.

OIP, I don't like the fact he is from UT either, but what can you do.

FWIW, John Carney was a pretty clutch kicker for a long time.
