Did Bosa, Ingram, McCain tail off this season?

Was it scheme or offenses adapting or these guys running out of gas? The sack and pressure production was way down, it seemed, over the last 6 games.

It seemed to me they may have ran out of gas, especially Bosa.

I think both McCain and Ingram feed off Bosa's success. Teams schemed Bosa as the year progressed, neither McCain or Ingram were good enough to take advantage of it.

This is why this D Line needs a dynamic playmaker on the inside......seems like teams could work out towards the perimeter to help out against Bosa and Ingram without getting hurt inside...not to mention teams ran all over us
Forget it Donny you're out of your element

Not sure I agree with that - Ingram seemed to have fresher legs at the end of the year and was more disruptive.

I think they ran out of gas. After last season, teams were surely scheming Bosa from the start. It's one of the reasons I think finding a DT that can help stop the run and rush from the middle will really put this defense over the top. It'll keep those guys running for the whole sixteen games.

Sacks are a hard thing to maintain. I think there was probably a bit of everything involved... maybe the level of play dropped a little, teams game planned better for them, and QB's were more aware that they were coming. After the start of the season... saw a lot more of quick short throws, trying to minimize their effectiveness.

Yeah it would make sense that teams would do whatever they could to neutralize the Ingram / Bosa wrecking crew.....they were on fire before the bye week but after not so much ... in the first five games after the bye Ingram had a half sack

Ingram replacing Bosa in the Pro Bowl. Bosa really did run out of something. (the finger injury)
