I can appreciate that chart, but I think its missing 1 column to help provide a little context. IMO, it should also show the number of times a QB has dropped back to pass. In Rivers case that number is 456. That includes sacks and aborted snaps. So, in 456 drop backs the Oline has blown 18 blocks (.039%) and protection broke down due to coverage only 4 times (.008%). Sure, a lot of this has to do with scheme, but to say thats not comforting is just reaching for something to bitch about, IMO.

What I take out of those stats is the coaches are doing a great job with the offensive line.
While I'm disappointed with some other things the coaches have done, the O line work has been impressive.

Coach D should be canonized for the job he's done this season. It really is nothing short of a miracle the job he's done with this group of turds.

Dunlap was considered a massive turd and had zero interest on the market as evidenced by his contract. Rinehart has been a career journeyman that has been injured every year of his career. Hardwick looked like he was circling the drain last season. Clary - enough said. Fluker according to many was supposed to be a OG (not me though!). Troutman's most significant contribution prior to this season wasOriginally posted by blueman View PostOr maybe they aren't such turds to begin with?
orkchops:
They may not have been complete turds, but prior to the season pretty sure we were considered a bottom 5 O line by virtually every single publication AND the grand majority of the board members.

Sounds just about right, don't you think?
And yes, to your question.
