Gray means you received no rep "power" because the person who rep'd you doesn't have any, either.

The rep system is set up this way to prevent someone from signing up today & neg repping people just for the hell of it. You won't lose any rep power there either because they don't have any themselves.

In the end, rep originates from admins in the beginning (like how I did that? ). Once you get rep from us, then you can spread it around.

As far as the second question, I'm looking into it. I thought it was isolated at first, but apparently not.

Not major, but I got "rep'd" today and it didn't tell me who did it. I can see who I've givin rep to, just not who gave me rep.

Back on the banner issue... I think I would be ok with a larger banner that doesn't resize, as long as the forums under it are centered (or the banner is centered on a re-sized window. As I said before, it really doesn't matter to me much, as the material below.

On the rep issue... I'm not that big on rep either, especially since everyone here currently has no history except what was over on the old board. What I do like is individual post 'likes' or 'dislikes' so the poster can see what other think of their artistry, immediately.

Anything bigger than the current banner won't work on a tablet. At least not the iPad.

I've never been a big fan of the like button. It seems to just turn everything into a popularity contest, and that's not always the best way to conduct a meaningful discussion. Just my .02

Too "facebook-ish" for me. I like that you can include a comment with "rep"
