Prediction:
Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

I think fake punts are used far too infrequently in the NFL. Teams should do more of them, and I marvel at McCoy's balls for calling one there.
But I really don't think that was the right time to call one. I mean, it worked, but I think that was far too risky. If the Chargers don't make it, the Chiefs are already in field goal range, and you can't count on Succop to miss every time.
On the other hand, maybe the Chargers saw something on the overhead camera that indicated that the fake would have a greater chance of succeeding than normal. That might make the decision a good one; but under normal circumstances, I think the team should punt there pretty much every time. (And I hate punts.)

Mike Pereira: In KC/SD game, Linesman ruled that progess was stopped at the 30 before the helmet came off or the ball came loose. I don't agree. Replay did not stop the game because the ruling of forward progress is not reviewable. Should have been a strip and TD in my opinion. The reason I say progress was not stopped is the surge of the pile is going forward. Teammate is pushing runner forward.Hashtag thepowderblues

Or it's a makeup call for Gates getting mugged on 3rd down the previous play.
