Saw that about the Pats with only 3 wrs on the ESPN site. Edelman is on suspension, but they also have 4 TEs, and have 6 specialists, my guess being 3 returners. As usual, their roster isn't all that scary, but they are in a weak division.
The Chargers probably have the most balanced roster, but that's in my view as a homer.

So you’d dump 2 QBs that know the offense and trade a 5th round pick for a #2 QB that has no clue about the offense? Sounds very GrudenesqueLast edited by oneinchpunch; 09-02-2018, 12:33 AM.

I am with OIP. Besides, McCarron is so good the Bills immediately drafted his replacement and then he was unable to beat out a rookie or Nathan {5 INT in one half) Peterman. Gruden cut Martavis Bryant, by the way. He gave up a 3rd round pick for him. Steelers really handled the Raiders. TG

Practice squad signings will probably start about 2pm Pacific on Sunday. I hope Cantrell, Hines, Steve Richardson, Tony Brown and Shimonek will clear waivers and land on the Chargers. I'm not sure if Pulley has any practice squad eligibility.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
Houston Chronicle reporter Aaron Wilson cited a source when reporting that Ellerbee is close to signing an undrafted free-agent contract with the Falcons.
Ellerbee is 6'1" and 235 pounds, and he has been timed at 4.60 in the 40-yard dash. The linebacker is a tackling machine who had 239 stops over the past two seasons with the Owls. He is not a superstar, but he can get the basics of the job done, and he is dependable. He won All-Conference USA first-team honors in back-to-back seasons.

I wonder what's worse, getting cut for the 53 man deadline, or getting cut after waiver claims. It probably means you do have a job, as the team is likely to have you back on the practice squad, but the PS is essentially limbo. I think Cardale has a great arm, but has no touch and anticipation. I do love the mobility, though.
