Final takeaway: FU Norval, this team didn't need to add anyone to get to the playoffs , we just had to get rid of one person
    Two persons: Nate Kaeding, too.

Pretty clear now that we wasted a lot time and draft picks with poor player development. There is so much chance (luck) involved in this stuff. Do our 2007 to 2009(10) drafts work out better with a staff like McCoy has put together? Some guys overcome bad situations in this league, but many do not and you only get so many chances in the NFL.

We have a tough schedule next year (based on the divisions we are matched up with).

This should be good for us since we lose to crappy teams more than we lose to good ones.

we didn't have enough takeaways in 2013. Defense needs more next year

AJ drafted and signed a lot of guys with injury concerns, and Norv didn't turn prospects into football players like Marty did. I think it was an AJ & Norv problem.

I was a little bummed that Vincent Brown didn't do more, but K.Allen was so much better than I figured a rookie 3rd WR coming off an injury would ever be. Getting the run game going at the end was also a huge +.

Some pointed words by Hardwick talking about how fragmented the coaching staff and the AJ/personnel group was last season. Talking about egos etc.

Hardwick also saying how big a difference that made this season that the two groups aren't adversarial.

He also wasn't talking like a guy ready to retire.

There's a lot of credit to share when you go to the playoffs. Good that the management saw that.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
