I dont ever recall a team not giving the Chargers their best game at the start. Yes, some have quit in he middle, but they always come out strong.

I remember one year when we we had a 1% chance of making the playoffs with 4 weeks to go and every important game went our way for 4 straight weeks and we made the playoffs ... we have been lucky so far this season, aside from the Gates fumble last week and the Denver game.
I think there is a decent chance the Raiders beat the Chiefs and we beat the Broncos ... and we get the #1 seed ... and I also think it doesn't hurt us (as much this year) to have to go on the road as we are the best road team in the NFL right now ...

A week to heal would be nice but frankly a road path thru the playoffs I think would keep us more focused. Winning the division would be a sweet victory for sure. I can see the Raiders pulling 1 last rabbit out of the hat as KC is 2 wins of the last 5 games...they are crumbling a bit...starting the late season slide again.
Its tough to say what would be best. Having an automatic win with a bye gets us a week further. Bottom line though is we really need to get our mojo back by taking down Denver which will be a tough division game in Denver. Take care of business and get to 12-4.
