It's a good Opportunity for Whiz. If he's interested, it makes some football sense for him. However, I don't know how into recruiting he is. He's an NFL coaching lifer.
Mike Martz is out for me, personally.
No way Chris Pederson is leaving Washington for a Coordinator position.
If you want a "college uptempo" type coach... Kliff Kingsbury is the top OC mind on the market.
Lynn is old school, and I would imagine that if Whiz leaves, we will end up with someone he has worked with before."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I agree with Coach.
I doubt Lynn takes a chance on an unkown up and comer. It will be someone he is comfy with. And he has made good calls (keeping Whiz, hiring Gus, the OL coach) and a bad one (hiring Stewart). I look for someone already on the staff or someone Lynn worked with before.
If Whiz does leave, great for him. He was a great part of the staff and really helped Lynn as a first time HC due to his past HC experience. I also have been impressed that he was able to adapt to what Lynn wanted to run without sacrificing what made his offense successful. Lynn and Whiz have been good for each other.
Not on the Martz bandwagon myself. Never liked the guy. And will he adapt or want to run stuff that will get Rivers killed?Last edited by Heatmiser; 11-30-2018, 11:04 AM.Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

At this point there is no real reason to rush in. There will be a change in offensive philosophy from Paul Johnson to almost anyone else, and it will be hard to change direction to recruit a new pro-style QB and WRs at this point, imo.
