Chiefs Kareem Hunt pushed and kicked woman on video

I watched Hunt's ESPN interview this morning. He said nothing about what the woman was doing there, what she said or did that got him angry, etc. I wasn't even sure he remembered the event. All he kept saying was that this was not him, that he was raised better than that. The interviewer also failed to ask him about the second assault incident, a few months later, where he allegedly punched a guy in the face.

I don't credit Hunt for "not trying to put a spin on this". It seemed like his agent told him to do an interview and told him to apologize, and he did, in the vaguest way possible. But has he really learned anything from this? I think he's got a long way to go.

You're right in that he has a long way to go. Let's hope he gives it a try and makes it.
As for him not saying what the woman was doing there, I guess it's rather irrelevant given the outcome of what happened. Regardless of why she was there, Hunt fucked up BIG TIME.

I'll give Hunt credit for the interview, made no excuses and took responsibility.

I'll give the Chiefs credit for cutting him immediately.

I'll also consider the Chefs actions suspect, because they waited for the video to surface, and they still employ Tyreek Hill.

I think the NFL forced the Chiefs to do this. I really do. For the 'good' of the NFL. So they can say they never saw the tape but now that they have, well, by golly.....

With all the NFLs money and prestige and leverage, they cannot get hotel video? Really?

Hunt apologized to the Chiefs and to his family. But not to the 19 year old girl he beat up. At least he did not in that interview. How come?

Teams that would sign Hunt would be the Bengals, Patriots, Raiders, Redskins, Browns, and Chiefs. They tend to overlook bad behavior as long as the player is talented enough. But I just think Hunt is so radioactive he might not ever play again.

I don't see the NFL paying for the video- they'd probably demand it- and threaten legal action to get it otherwise. TMZ on the other hand pays for this dirt as standard business practice. NFL has a proper image to protect, TMZ not so much...
