The Minnesota Vikings placed Adrian Peterson on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission List early Wednesday morning.
The move will require Peterson to remain away from all team activities while he takes care of his legal proceedings.
Like many people in and outside the football community, you might be asking yourself, "What in the world is the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission List?"
Thanks to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport was were able to get the full explanation directly from the NFL Player Personnel Policy Manual:
"The Exempt List is a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player's time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List."
Essentially, Peterson can remain on the list for an undetermined period of time -- while he gets paid -- and doesn't take up one of the Vikings' roster spots.

This makes the Raider-Chief game watchable, at least for the first quarter.

Hunt will remain in pay status, but can't play. I have no idea how many games he'll get on suspension, I don't even know if he deserves a suspension, to be honest. Even if the woman was the instigator, there is no justifiable reason to use physical violence on a much weaker person, unless there is a reasonable fear of substantial injury. However, if you are an asshat that wants to poke a bear, be ready to get clobbered.

Again, the league/Chiefs screwed themselves by thinking or believing this incident wouldn't be blown out of control, if they knew there was a video out there, even if charges weren't filed.

Chiefs sent him home after learning of the release of the video? So they ignored what he did but now that there is an embarrassing video out, well he needs to go home. Speaks volumes about the chiefs and the nfl.

By by the way, superstar tyreek hill is also a woman beater. People have forgotten.

What's the minimum NFL suspension for this?

Does Hunt appeal it or just sit out until the playoffs? For under 4 games, I think I'd just sit out.
