Finally a reasonable fairly call game. McVay seems brilliant and is a real deal. Hopefully he'll be another Belichick and not another Chip Kelly. I don't really care about the "cross-town" rival thing. Another brilliant football mind is just good for the game, pushes the game forward.

Another running QB goes down. LAR completely gameplan to stop Zeke and DAL running game today, dare Scott to pass. With a better pocker passer they can just go pass happy mode when the opponent blatantly goes all-out against the run like that.

Running QBs can be serviceable but their success just don't last long, they can't PASS consistently, questionable arm-talents, inconsistent accuracy, never get in sync timing-wise with WRs, they make plays on lucky broke down play, when everybody go freelance mode. Difficult for WRs and offensive coaches. Not to mention they're easier to get injured. When they run they're no longer benefit from all the QB protection rules.

Something to think about when consider Rivers replacement when he retired.

Prescott isn't really a running QB. He can run but he isn't near a Lamar Jackson type. Prescott had 57 rushes all year. Jared Goff had 43.
whoever we get to replace Rivers I wouldn't mind someone who can scramble and rush 2-3 times a game.

Let me clarify that i wouldnt want Dak Prescott lol. Aaron Rogers for instance can scramble and run if he has too but doesnt do it much.
