I wish they would just get started. Pre-game is basically a look how great Tom and the Pats are.

They've earned that. The Bolts need to knock them off the mountaintop.

If Foles leads the Birds to another Super Bowl, they would be crazy to let him get away. He fits their system and personnel perfectly.

Call me crazy, and I've said this before, but I would call the Birds to see what they would want for Wentz. He is a star in the making. Have Wentz and Rivers on the team next yr, and transition to Wentz in 2020.

No way Wentz would agree to go anywhere and sit for a year. If I were the Eagles I'd worry about Wentz - his style, just like all running QBs, is going to get him hit a ton and he doesn't seem to be very durable.

Does Wentz have a say in where he would get traded? I wouldn't call Wentz a running QB; he has averaged 3 to 4 scrambles per game over his career, which isn't much. And maybe he beats out Rivers in camp and starts. I love Rivers as much as the next Chargers fan, and have defended him over the years to the fullest, but this team needs to think about the future and what will be the best way for them to win. You'd have to consider it.

He could refuse to report. But I highly doubt the Eagles would trade him anyway.

Needier teams will outbid us for Wentz.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

17 unanswered points for the Saints, 1:40 left in the 3rd.

Eric Williams posted this after the game:

Will the Chargers get a contract extension done with Rivers?

Rivers, 37, has one year left on his current contract that pays him $16 million for the 2019 season. Rivers has said he still wants to play when the Chargers open the new Inglewood Stadium in 2020. The Chargers should begin negotiations this offseason on a new deal for their franchise quarterback.
