I mentioned I thought this could happen in the Roster thread. It makes sense if you want to put your two best guards out there, and believe Lamp and Schofield to be those two. Probably just trying things out, as there is a long way to go before determining starters. But an interesting glimpse none the less.

Maybe having another year in our system will help Pouncey along.

Now you're talkin'. Entering their 2nd or 3rd year together should produce a tighter OL. This is a young group in unit age.

Nothing wrong with a brace in OTAs or training camp. All OL should probably use them to prevent non-game injuries.

A lot of college teams provide their OL with the cheapy plastic ones but require them for games and practices. Not something new, since a buddy of mine got them when he played for the University of Buffalo 20 years ago (before Buffalo had really gotten up to being a D I school).

Williams health is definitely a worry, but damn is he good when he's right.

So is Gordon but here we are complaining he misses too many games to pay the man. And I'm not disagreeing with that but Williams hasn't played a full season since 2013.

It's not just the time he misses. When the guy walks off the field at the end of the game, he looks like he should be put on a stretcher. Dude looks like he can barely walk sometimes. He is still gutting out the games, and doing a great job when he is in there, but that is because he is one tough guy. But how much can he keep doing it? It also seems like the end of the season for Washington is just a countdown to his inevitable post-season surgery.

If there was some way to know that we could get him for 16 games (plus playoffs), even just for 1 season, it might be worth it.

I wore a fitted carbon fiber brace last 10 yrs of construction work. It got me through to retirement. Wish I'd had it on when the initial injury took place in a recreational football game.They can help.
