Think it boils down to salary. If he's willing to take less, yes. I suspect Baltimore will give him a much better deal to sign there. They are desperate for a player that can run underneath routes.

The guy has not shown he is getting old. Sign him for 2 years to be safe and TT has shown the ability to structure contract attach to productivity ala E. Royal contract...

I did hear one of the guys on Scott and BR yesterday mentioned that he thought Smith might be the kind of guy who brings out the real competitor in Kennan Allen, if Steve Smith is around the locker room. Smith gets in these fights inn practice, because he just wants to win at everything. He plays all out, all the time, and it rubs some guys the wrong way. But it is probably a bigger help with guys like Weddle and Rivers, who are already that type of personality.

And with Steve Smith the issue is that if you aren't a top player, but you are super intense and competitive, you are just a dick. And that is what would probably happen. Sooner or later Smith is going to slow down, he really already has. I just think that the Carolina offense kind of hides it better then we could. We need a WR who is going to help stretch the field. And if he is not going to do that, I don't know that he brings enough else.
