Roster (Cuts and Trades to Initial 53)

I just saw that part where TT has allowed Gordon to seek a trade...wow. Didn't think it would come to this. At this point, however...I say if he can get us some capitol, show him the door. More likely he won't find a partner, though...this is just gonna be a distraction in a season where we are starting off without our best defender, and best olineman.

Fortunately we still have a pretty good team, and the easiest half of our schedule is the first half...survive that, get Okung back and the Gordon situation resolved...we could still be in pretty good shape.

Its a possible pawn move. He may be trying to force his hand. I think Melvin really wants to be here. Knows how much hes wanted. Now that TT is saying go ahead and leave maybe Gordon will bite? I dont know.

Yeah,...Davis has minimul WR ability. Poor man's Osgood imo.

Bigger surprise was cutting Scott .He had the best preseason of all the WRs.
Even bigger surprise is keeping DZub.

Yea...I was disappointed with not keeping Scott or Patton...I liked both of them.

Very happy we kept Peace though...I think that guy is gonna be a sleeper/steal. Got some serious game.

given Square's spot to Lanier or McGill
Dzub's to Watkins
Brown's to an OL
Watt's to Cox
Stick to PS and keep Scott

If the team wants a FB then keeping Cox over Watt had no chance.

i'm actually very comfortable with 5 WRs in general
considering how many passes our RBs and TEs catch
watt is good for a catch or two too

They will have one more spot next week. They had to have James on the roster at start of season to IR/DR him, otherwise IR puts him out the entire season. NFL rules about injured guys are whack imo. I get what they are trying to do - stop teams from just hiding guys on fake injuries and mix n matching them at will. Think they go a bit over on it. I'd say if you have a certified X-ray of a broken bone, you're not a faker. Other sports don't have that severe restriction.

Scott outplayed Patton in PS games, i can't imagine it is close between them but then again, he outplayed others now on the roster so my educated guess doesnt seem all that educated.

Maybe I'm not counting right, but I'm pretty sure we have 53 without Okung and James? I don't think anyone is gonna be replacing James when he goes to IR...it's already accounted for...unless I'm mistaken.

Derwin is on the roster today. Okung is not, he is designated NFI.

I'm counting the final roster with Okung and James...55 names. There is no more room...and when Okung and James return(or IF) we lose 2 more.
