I'd like to see him vs nfl players first. 5th rounders are generally depth guys. I like him, but I wasn't penciling him as a starter. Verrett is a day 1 starter IMO. I'm not disappointed with having a bit of depth.

Yea but you're not a defensive football player. My son always has that look on his face when hes doing anything related his sport. Just a business face i guess. He smiled he was just serious. Acted like hes been there before. He came off as confident to me.

Spanos breakdown on Verrett says he was the highest guy on the board that also met a need. That it was rare when that happens.

Would have been interesting if Dennard was on the board. Sure seems like they like this guy an awful lot.

Sorry, Dude, but I put football off the back burner and somewhere in the ash heap during college BB season. But, I am not a big fan a small CBs being drafted before the 4th round, never have been. Perhaps they can cover (because of their quickness) when there is a lot of green around them but once you get near the goal line there are too many receivers on every team with height that cause mismatches with small CBs.

Don't worry, I won't be on often. My son made me watch the draft with him but I really haven't followed the Chargers moves this offseason. I did see that they signed a blocking TE which I thought we had in Phillips...
