        I'm assuming the reason to waive him is to get his contract off the cap essentially cutting him. If so that gives us 453,330 extra to play with. Putting him on IR I suspect still gives him access to the facilities/medical care etc, but his salary is off the cap.

          That is too bad with Mouton although if the Bolts had to have a training camp injury this doesn't hurt much. Chargers are on thin ice at most positions this year...so I'm ready to see burger flippin johnson and valet parking mandarich starting by the end of the season. This was an AJ head scratching WTF pick when his name was 1st called and I'm still scratching my head over this pick. Maybe Tommy Bahamas used a dye that causes brain cramps, an inability to negotiate, and extreme narcism.

            The signing of DJ Smith looks much better now.

            Chances of Mouton makiing the team were slim anyway, IMO. Last season, Gachkar and Bird played before him.

            sorry to see him get injured, though.
