Imagine we were 100% healthy beat the undefeated Patriots then lost to Eli, that would have been the WORST.

Also in 2009/10 we were 13-3 and won our last 11 games in a row, if Kaeding doesn't choke we probably play Drew Brees in the Superbowl.

Would have played the Colts who we owned and bounced from the playoffs 2 years in a row but Colts were actually 14-2 and home home field

The 2009 team is a credit to what Rivers was at that point in his career. We rushed for only 1,423 yards and 3.3 yards a carry that season.

Kaeding blew it against the Jets, but we also got outrushed 169-61 in that game. We had no business being 13-3 that year.

The 2006 and 2007 teams were the ones that should have won it all.

Even though we were 8-8 in 08 people don't understand we could of easily won SB that year.

I think we started 4-8, beat Indy again in Playoffs, went to Pittsburgh scored a TD on first drive of game (I was there), we put up 24 points on the Pitt D, the problem was the ball bounced off of Weddles (Hesters?) head on a punt turnover and we only had the ball 30 seconds in the 3rd quarter.

Had we beat Pitt, we would have HOSTED the Ravens in San Diego in the AFC Championship Game as we were a division winner and they were a wild card then would of played a weak AZ Cards in the Superbowl, one of the weakest NFC SB teams since the 06 Bears (that we would of demolished as well).

2006-2009 best of 7 series we could of won back to back to back to back, 4PEAT, that was our window, even 2010 didn't we have the #1 D & #1 O and #32 ST?

The 2008 season was when I began to realize the team that had been built into a force was starting to fall apart, thanks to the aftereffects of hiring Norv and A.J.'s ridiculous picks--Buster Davis, trading a 2009 second-rounder to move up for Jacob Hester in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft, etc. Plus, LaDainian Tomlinson had begun to decline, after we let Michael Turner leave to the Falcons. Then there Jeromey Clary at right tackle, which I thought wouldn't last much longer but continued through the 2012 season.

With that said, the way Rivers performed in the last four weeks of the regular season to carry us into the 2008 playoffs, followed by Darren Sproles scoring the winning touchdown to beat the Colts in the Wild Card Round, are two of my favorite memories as a Chargers fan.
