I think Lanier can be a solid player. He appeared to outplay Peace in preseason

Meh.

The defense is not what has held the team back so far. It has been the offense struggling in 2nd half of games. TE & WR have so many injuries. Patton addition much more needed than keeping Peace.
Patton had 4 targets 2 catches. A big 1st down catch from what I remember.

Patton was 6rec/86yds/2TDs in pre-season catching the ball from back ups running vanilla offense.

I believe we need to trade for an impact player on defense if we are going to make a serious run
