    Upon Further Review

Defensive back Desmond King II flies downhill to sack a scrambling Dolphins quarterback Josh Rosen on third down.

After re-watching the game this was clear safety. Once he secured the ball he it and he were clearly on (not in or out) the goal line.

I don't recall how to embed a video in the post. Anyone?

It's hard to say, his fumbling adds an element because I thought, real time, he had forward momentum onto the one when he starts getting tackled. But then he loses control of the ball, and I was never clear exactly where he regained control.

I don't know the rule but if any part of the ball is in the field outside the goal line is that a safety? It was hard to see the ball.

It's not where his are, it's where the ball is. I think it was called correctly.

Yeah, he was in control with the ball just outside the endzone.

Geno Serratore( the NFL guy the commentators in the booth call when there's a controversial call) said it works the same way it does when a runner is trying to score: if any part of the ball touches the line, it's in the endzone, and it's a score.
So reverse it, if Rosen has controll of the ball, and the ball is touching the white line, then its in the endzone, and it's a safety.

Ball has to be completely within the end zone to be a safety. The goal line is part of the end zone.

This is how I understand it works.

Given the amount of calls we have been fucked on this year at least this one didn't really hurt us.

the ball doesnt actually have to be completely in the endzone (or the line)...technically even if the tip of the ball is over the line then it is either a TD or a safety. the call couldve gone either way. but sure glad we covered the spread so even though we didnt get the call it mattered not.

That looks like a safety to me. Did they review it?
