I wanted Suh when he was available. Back to reality - the here and the now which is the crappy situation we are in. AB84 is a cancer - no way Chargers bring him on.

While I agree that the turnovers have been a problem, I believe they are a symptom of our offensive woes, not the cause.

We are getting 2 yards per carry right now. THAT is what it's all about. No teams win when they run the ball this poorly. We can pretend that Rivers should somehow overcome the worst o-line and the worst running game in the NFL, but that just isn't the reality of the situation.

I agree the offensive woes contribute to Rivers turnover a bit.

At the same time...
New England is undefeated and have oline injuries.
They run for 3.5 per carry.

Chargers run for 3.8 per carry.

Tonight, 3 time Superbowl champ and Hall of Famer Troy Aikman said after Flacco turnover where the o-line protection was awful......."thats on Flacco, he has to know when he us under duress (pressure) and protect the football"

Rivers. Has No excuses for turning the ballover as much as he has this season. 7 of his 8 turnovers in 6 games are completely Philip Rivers fault. Teams generally dont win if the QB struggles to protect the rock.

Last year Philip was very good overall at ball protection. This year he has been too sloppy.

Reading Goodell's comments, i do not believe AB is "available" until NFL completes its investigation. If signed IMO he would immediately be placed on the commissioners exempt list. The threatening texts were the straw that broke that camels back. Nobody will sign him until the process is completed.

Square is good on limited snaps. Maybe McGill can help the rotation. He's had some good plays, not a majority but some.

Chargers need the bye week bad, and not just to heal. Maybe during that time some fundamentals will be gone over again and again and again. Like...how to properly execute a simple running back swing out pass. Lynn and the coaches seem to act as if plays like that are down pat and don't need rehearsing again. Wrong. I'm beginning to think the assistant coaches on this team are sub par. During that bye week, 4 days should be spent on nothing but fundamentals. I also don't think this team has earned being given a week off to relax (except injured players). Finally, stop treating the players like they are accomplished professionals. After this Sunday, we may see a players only meeting, altho I'm not sure what that will accomplish.
