moat of those failed deep balls are not just on Rivers, they are because of the worst OL in NFL allowing jail breaks often enough that Rivers has zero confidence so he has to make up his mind immediately who to force a ball to before the snap....... the other problem is the coaches dont design pass routes well enough to get someone wide open in the short to medium range areas like Chiefs and other teams do..... on last series with raiders most of game we were running slow developing deep routes .....really stupid for a team that has no real speed......
Chargers coaches seem to go with game plans assuming things will continue the way they had before, such as raiders were one of worst pass rushes in NFL and were giving up lots of deep balls to many teams...... so Chargers assumed we would be able to block them and get open deep..... but our coaches dont seem to realize how bad our line is and how slow our WR's are??.......
Most teams at least have speed in their 4th, 5th, 6th WR slots.... but Chargers stupidly have slow possession type WR's as all; of our backups..... zero young fast guys...... can't teach speed but you can draft fast guys and teach them to run routes and catch......
look at KC, Pitt, ...etc... their slowest WR's are faster than our fastest one......... that as on TT and coaches.....
