Im just hoping Rivers is there at pick #5 in the first round.

I took Manning really early this year in the draft. My reasoning was because of the following: a) most of the players I draft high end up on IR very early in the season or have career worst years the year I take them. b) if he's killing it, I can at least enjoy the spoils a little bit. c) The last couple years, my QB has been by far my weakest link, and it has seemed to take until about mid-season before I get the situation turned around at that position.

Yeah going QB / TE with your first two picks usually means you are playing catchup at the RB-WR positions. If Rivers and Graham kill it that might not matter.

I'd like to see how the entire draft played out.

I took him with my second round pick at #12 overall....

............which (I KNOW) sounds ridiculously high, considering where all the pundits had him ranked.

However, our point system is skewed toward the better QBs, & before I took Rivers---Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Brady, & Stafford had already been picked. Also, Foles & Ryan went before I would have picked again at #29, so I truly believe Rivers would have been gone before my 3rd round pick had I not taken him earlier.

Rivers is really the only Charger who I "homer out" on, & I don't really regret having taken him early, b/c I truly think he's going to be a FF beast this year.

Then again, this Koolaid tastes pretty good.....lol.

In our league, TE & WR are considered equivalents/interchangeable....so getting Graham is much like getting Calvin Johnson, in my opinion.

I realize taking Rivers so early looks ridiculous based on what all the sites say, & considering the concept of second-tier QB parity, yet by the time I picked him, all the top-tier FF QBs had been picked, & there was starting to be a run on the next tier. In fact, all the QBs I would have wanted as my starters were gone by the time I picked at #29 (except for Romo, who surprisingly actually fell to 9th round). Our league's point system rewards the better QBs, so I feel justified.

With regard to the entire draft---I looked at all 10 teams last night, & most everyone did things the way I did....getting a QB much earlier than the pundits advised, & then filling accordingly. League looks pretty balanced.

I completely understand. Fortunately I picked him up in the late rounds last year in my keeper league, so I get to keep him at a low price. I always take Bolts players that I want about a round higher than they are projected. Good FF strategy? No. Good way to keep internal conflicts to a minimum? Absolutely.
