So at the time, I think I was good with Ingram but know would have been good with DeCastro.
The Ingram pick was like the James pick, nobody thought he'd be there when the Chargers picked, and everybody was amazed and euphoric when the Chargers got him. But, I can't dismiss Quaksaw's argument that DiCastro might have been the more prudent pick, the pick that might've helped the Bolts more in the long run, because of how lousy the OL has been for the past decade-plus, tasked with protecting one of the NFL's best, but also slowest, QBs. At any rate, I don't think DiCastro in place of Ingram would have won the Chargers any Super Bowls, so it's moot IMO.

      IMV it will be fine.

Kendrick Green has a Dermontti Dawson vibe...great pick.

      So...

      Okorafor-Dotson-Green-Turner-Banner

with Finney, Moore, Haig et al as depth.

along with Freiermuth, blocking for Najee Harris.

This is going to work better and sooner than anyone thinks...ala Titans !
Dawson was my player comparison for Green as well. They are very similar physically with KG having more power and a bigger nasty streak to him
He has a very high ceiling.

        Kendrick.
        Me wanted.
That scout-tout was a ninja special.

Really was one of my favorite backs. I expect he has a stud rookie year in a Kyle Shanny offense.

ESPN’s Nick Wagoner believes Trey Sermon “looks poised to make an impact as a rookie.”

With Jeff Wilson (knee) out 4-6 months and Raheem Mostert limited, the 49ers got an extended look at Sermon with the starters this offseason. Sermon’s pass catching made a “strong first impression” on the coaching staff, something Wagoner expects to get him on the field early. The Wilson timetable and Mostert’s knee history have Sermon as one of the top running back hedges. The rookie third-rounder could open the year in a committee if he carries his strong OTAs into training camp.

Was a very solid prospect with injury history red flags.
When he is one the field, he’s a difference maker with size, vision, initial burst, elite contact balance, and better than average ability in the pass game (blocking, blitz pickup, and hands).

Wasnt really a fan in the 3rd. Low mileage. They may think they can get him passed that. Compliment what they have. Thought he would be a nice late round flyer to pair with Ek.

I say we turn Bradwell into Natrone.

I wish Rivers had a good owner and competent organization behind him.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                Let’s win one for Mack.

He certainly looks like he worked hard on being in great physical condition heading into camp this season.
I really liked the kid coming out last year. He has vision, power, contact balance, and a QB background to help his football IQ for the RB position.
5 guys fighting for 3-4 roster spots is never a bad thing.

I am really pulling for Jackson this year. I love his running style, he also has a good head on his shoulders off the field as well. If he can stay healthy (I think this is his year) he will put up great numbers, all he needs a small seam. This line at least on paper will open up many seams large and small.

Agreed. But did Big Ben's contributions create the wins or were they mostly the result of defensive superiority?

I too am hopeful this is Jackson's year.

The first win was basically the team carrying him, but he was a legit star by the second one.

I'm not saying he didn't have a great defense then, either, but he played at a level that he was a major reason why they won.
