With regards to the oline discussion, it seems over the years that many teams have had failures drafting what appeared to be sure things, and some have had success...oline seems to be hit or miss across the board...

But you will never hit if you don't try, so...yea. Something I hope we look hard at next draft, as always....we should have a good idea, by seasons end, just how hard that look will be...and for what positions.

So far we have been drafting 1-2 players in the later rounds 3-5 and then try and hire marginal talent that has injury histories. I don't think that is a recipe for success.

To be fair, we did trade for Turner and signed Bulaga this offseason - two probowl linemen to anchor the right side of the line. TT did attempt to address it. It hasn't worked out due to injury for the first 4 games - we'll see what happens going forward.

Telesco is one of the few GMs that doesn't get this and still has employment

I'm not sure that's fair...I think he has added some really good players to this squad, and got some nice value in later rounds...his one area of glaring miss, IMO, is the oline...and even Lamp and Feeney are looking solid.

But he does need to hit on that oline sooner rather than later. He had a chance this year, but he passed it up to land Herbert...and so far that is looking like the smart play...so does he get a lttle love for that? Kenneth Murray isn't looking like DROY, but still very solid for a rook on a stunted learning curve with COVID limiting offseason...I say another good move.

He get's a passing grade in my book so far...but the evaluation never ends. Handling that oline over the next couple of seasons, and how he addresses the coaching position if we continue to inexplicably lose close games...I guess we will see.
