    Absolutely an upgrade!

The Rams are 5-6 in a rebuild year with an RB they got from??? And a 5th round WR who’s in the top 10 in the league. The Giants have the same number of wins with a 3rd string qb named Devito leading them. Shame

It was doomed from the start. He wanted to pick C.J. Stroud. The owner forced Bryce Young on him.

Since they still owe him about $30 million for his contract (4 years $36 million) to go along with what the Colts still owe him ($9 million a year through 2026 as he was extended the year before he was fired), he should just say thank you!

I doubt the Colts had to pay him once he took the Panther job

Maybe the Colts are paying him. Depends on the contact.

The Carolina Panthers (1-10) and team owner David Tepper will pay a hefty price not to have Frank Reich call another play for the team moving forward.

According to Steve Reed of the Associated Press, Tepper will be on the hook for an estimated $9 million per season over the next three seasons after relieving Reich of his duties as head coach Monday. Reich initially signed a four-year contract which runs through 2026. Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will serve as the interim head coach. Offensive coordinator Thomas Brown will become the team’s play caller, with senior assistant Jim Caldwell serving as his special adviser. Tabor wasted no time making changes to the staff, letting go of quarterbacks coach Josh McCown and assistant head coach/running backs coach Duce Staley.

Carolina made the decision to fire Reich after just 11 games following the 17-10 Week 12 defeat to the Tennessee Titans (4-7) Sunday. Reich, tasked with fixing Carolina’s offense and developing quarterback Bryce Young, whom the organization parted ways with four draft picks and star wideout D.J. Moore to take with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, failed to get his side of the ball going.

Just googled this....Reich is rolling in the dough. He hit the lottery. Go home, relax.

According to ESPN, the Indianapolis Colts are paying Reich $9 million per year through 2026 for a total of $36 million after he was fired in December 2022. Now, after being fired by the Panthers, Reich will continue to earn his pay — with considerably less stress.2 hours ago

If true, they did him a favor by firing him...wait until they can't really do anything good with a shrimp QB.

Usually there would be offset language in a contract like that which states that if you get fired without cause you still get your remaining salary but if you take another HC job (or maybe any coaching job) we can offset what you’re paid in the new gig from what we owe you.
