There was a provocative discussion today on SXM NFL Radio, involving Pat Kirwan and John Clayton.

Kirwan said an NFL GM told him recently that NFL defenders have about 50 plays in them per game, before they run out of gas and lose effectiveness. This is a product of offenses forcing defenses to defend the entire length and width of the football field on every play.

Here's the secret sauce for why teams are able to mount so many fourth quarter comebacks. I think of the most recent Super Bowl, SF vs KC, and the one where ATL lost to NE a few seasons ago, if you review what happened in those games.

Furthermore, Kirwan and Clayton posited that Pete Carroll and Gus Bradley need to now rethink their defensive concepts, as offenses have evolved to the demise of previously effective defensive philosophies.

My conclusion is that we have an acute need for better defensive depth, especially up front. A better front four rotation may be the new key to a winning gusD.

I forgot his actual position with us but he should know our roster intimately
idk his background enough other than scouting for the Ravens way back when

Can anyone describe Lynn’s System and in which game he has executed it since he has been here.

we know what Marty, Norv and Even MM had an offensive system.

the only thing I have seen Lynn do I’d run the ball up the gut for nothing, it feels like he is wasting Hunter Henry skills to use as an extension of the OL.


charger have been ahead at half time many games this season....but Lynn’s should have a system to close them out.

Why not, Mayock is drafting pretty well for the Raiders. John Lynch is doing pretty well in SF...... Though talk about injuries. They lost another RB for the year again today. Best part for Spanos..... He is probably going to be cheaper than someone else lol.
