Looks like Kyler is threatening the Cards if they don’t extend (= significantly increase) his contract a year early. He’s not pleased with his $5.4 base + roster bonus for 2022. He got a $24M signing bonus on his rookie deal in Yr1 but that was a long time ago

Not sure what he is thinking. He hasn't done anything yet to warrant a new deal. He tanked in the second half for one thing. No 4K passing yards seasons, no 30 TD seasons. No playoff wins.
If his agent says Rodgers deserves 50 mil or more having won 3 MVPs and a SB ring, then Murray having done none of that deserves less than half.
Not like he is a prolific passer and setting a new standard. Trade him to Pittsburgh and a first round pick and Rudolph. Maybe Miami for Tua and a first. Or Carolina and a first and second.

I'm glad this Kyler Murray drama is happening
because I think it makes it less likely Herbert's camp does anything similar after next season.
Herbert is building a brand and doesn't need to be compared to KMP1. Block Destruction - Ogbonnia
P2. Shocking Effort - Eboigbe
P3. Ball Disruption - Ford
P4. Obnoxious Communication - Matlock

Today, Keim and Kingsbury with 5 year extensions
and Andy Isabella can look for a trade. At best if I am the Chargers I give one of those comp picks from the 7th round for the guy. Granted, hasn't show very much at the NFL level

In 2016 Jared Goff and Carson Wentz were drafted 1-2 in the first round. Both QBs were presumed to be the future of their franchises, and represent the future of the NFL. Indeed both did get their teams to a Super Bowl, but neither of them won the Super Bowl. Six years later, when they were expected to be in their primes, they are already has-beens, failing with teams that did not draft them.
