Raiders probably not trading him; they just didn't want to guarantee the 8m or whatever for a RB

He’s playing in Vegas this year, definitely.

          Ravens are really doing well!
If Lamar's healthy, they'll be tough to beat.

I'm thinking next year, not this year. They're not going to extend him, and he's not going to want to stay there.

The Broncos play them. I hope the Ravens help us.

Lamar will beat himself. Still don't like him as a QB, and he has a history of folding in big games.

I guess he's gotta stay healthy first.

The problem teams are having is that they understand having the "best" guy, or close to the best guyat a position means you pay a disproportionate amount of money for that guy. But the football teams get more mileage out of having more complete rosters. The teams are better off not paying elite money to guys and go for the guys who are a little bit less highly ranked, provided they can have 2 or 3 of them, instead of one really elite guy at a position.

Pass rushers are the most obvious examples, but the same is true of almost any position, with the possible exception of QB. And almost any team can make the salary cap work if they only have 1 of these really elite guys to work into the framework.

Amazing how many arguments get dismantled by winning.
