They just gave both Vrable and Robinson a contract extension this offseason so whatever GM they bring in will inherit a coach, or have to replace Vrable. I HATED him as a player but have a lot of respect for how tough his teams play and how they overachieve. He'd be an interesting choice if he was available and we moved on from Staley.

What I like about Vrabel as a coach is that he wants his team to bully you. He emphasizes the physicality of the game.

I agree, but Robinson has never had a losing season in 6+ years, has the team in first place by 3 games with 5 games left, and just signed a contract extension in February. Something else must be going on. I live in Nashville so I'm sure something more will come out.

What is missing in the narrative that many here want to be true ?

A schism between HC and GM over personnel issues is almost always the source of the friction.

Vrabel went to Amy after the loss to the Eagles. The Eagles, with long time GM Howie Roseman, are the best team in football by a wide margin. What a reason for Vrabel to back stab the GM.

This means the Titans will offset Robinson's salary if hired, and we all know Dean Spanos' two favorite words are salary offsets.

Robinson had won 62 games since 2016 and Telesco has won 75 games since 2016. Robinson also oversaw three playoff wins.

From GM Jon Robinson's standpoint, look at the first three years of AJ Brown's career, production versus salary. $4.3 million, What a ROI. If Robinson was convinced he could find another receiver, it makes sense to deal for draft capitol.

Well he drafted Burks 16th to replace Brown (who he drafted in the 2nd), and made a failed trade for Julio Jones, so he believes in having top WRs.
They won't say it of course, but I think they looked at this as a rebuild year. Drafted their hopeful future QB.
So far a mistake: let's see what Burks does and if Brown stays healthy.

The Titans resolved it differently than the Chargers have in the past by keeping the HC. Chargers both times let the HC go with terrible results. The HC is the most important person in your organization.
