i wore my gear to a 49er game in 2022 when they played there. no problems at all, but there was literally no one else around to high five (i went with 49ers guys). when the chargers scored i had to just long-distance salute the other few charger fans in my section.

Maybe in the future. But they have to use the brand new facility or it looks odd. And Herbert needs to get acclimated so he can do what he does for physical and mental player development

I’ve heard the LA raider experience was more dangerous than OAK - OAK had rabid fans but didn’t attack opposing fans, just what I heard idunno. LVR is now experiencing the tourism destination city blues, sort of like both LA teams. A lot of fly-in visitors, comp tickets from casinos, ticket brokers, etc etc dilute raider fan attendance.

Idunno about all of these Charger thugs, I’ll take their word. All I know is the only stabbings I ever heard of at a football game were Raider fans stabbing Charger fans. There were several and it was 100% raider fans. When they played in SD, they used to double or triple police presence on Raider week - that was for a reason. The thugs don’t represent all raider fans, obviously. But the LA thug market was theirs while they were around. Future - idunno about these “Mexican gangsters” - that just sounds racist lol

I’d rather they work on football than work on preventing and surviving heat stroke.

Thinking about clips we all saw from Staley camps - a lot of wasted time between activities, a lot of milling about, chatting, joking, “bonding” bullshit. I’ve heard one thing Jim does is strategize and design all team practices to get MORE out of them - from start to finish, the guys will work more. Since NFLPA has placed all kinds of rules that are duration-based, that is one of the ways he seeks an advantage. I look forward to seeing clips this summer to find out if this is true.

I thought Staley was way more efficient than traditional coaches during traning camp? At least that is what the stories were. Using multiple fields, back ups getting more reps than other teams, crisp practices....

I get it - they can't NOT use the new facility . . . . . . . but deep inside I'm visualizing these pampered athlete spending 3 weeks or so in the same kind of dorms I had in college. You know - the kind with CMU block walls that have been painted so many times that the paint's 1/4" thick . . . . . . . . . . and they have that special smell .

I heard the rep too but I’m suspicious if it was true based on what we saw from the team on the field. Lots of guys spread around in different clusters doesn’t mean that any of them were working hard or working efficiently. We never heard one single player ever say that camp or practices were tough that I know of, and we saw week after week how well prepared they were

I think Staley’s personality need to be one of the guys held back whipping ass. Harbaugh thinks whipping ass is fun, he hires coaches that think whooping ass is fun. More is more.

The first time I ever heard the expression "whoop ass" was when I was an 18 year old Marine. I laughed so hard I almost fell down. The guy that said it was a gunny sergeant from the hills of North Carolina. He could entertain you simply by the expressions he used. I wish I could remember them, one other one that i recall was "well I'll be a suck ass mule". I'm not sure what it meant but it was funny. He'd say it when something surprised him.

Lol, great story. Ass whooping was in the common vernacular by the time I matriculated out of childhood. Everyone knew it by then

suck ass mule … sounds vaguely like a dog faced pony soldier, hard to nail down exactly what either are except they aren’t good lol
