Neither the Tartt drop nor the McCree pick and fumble would have been game enders. There was about 6 minutes left in each game. Anything could have happened

You are correct, the game would not have ended if Tartt had held on, but the 49ers would have had the lead, the ball, momentum and I really liked their chances at that point.

I didn't remember there was that much time left in the game when McCree fumbled that back to the Patriots. That game is still a nightmare to me. Only the holy roller game sticks in my craw worse than that.
