Detroit having their best season start since 1962. No Matt Stafford, although Matt halted the Chargers playoff march about 10 winters ago. Their HC Dan Campbell would probably have us knocking down the door. I’m happy for Lions fans. They’re no longer the team that loses every Thanksgiving day game since time began. It’s almost heartening.

BTW, there were only two teams that reluctantly signed on for the first Thanksgiving day games. Two loser teams at the time who thought…what the hey. Dallas and Detroit. Now, every team would give their right arm, hehe.

I lived in metro Detroit area for 5 yrs, i'm fond of them. they were horrible when I was there, still in the silverdome with a lot of empty seats each week. UM and Red Wings were the sports ticket at that time.

What he is saying is let Mariota play a couple or few games so Hurts can heal. Maybe win a couple and then Hurts is healthier to make a playoff run.
He isn't saying Mariota is better because Mariota is a bust and relegated to a backup.
