Harrowing story. Thumbs up!

As a teenager, I worked as a dock man guide in Yellowstone in the late 60’s and ran out of gas late at night, too far to hike back to the cabin. It was June but still freezing at night and snow on the ground in upper elevations where I was. Stayed in the car until dawn and while the cold was really bad, the fear of a grizzly coming to visit kept me awake most of the night.

I backpacked a lot when I was younger in California, where we just have the black bear. I back-packed a bit in Yellowstone, but knowing there were grizzlies about, I was never fully comfortable. One of the first things I did was read a book about grizzly attacks and how to avoid them. My back-packing partner was loaded with pepper spray - which was new at the time - and I made sure I stayed close to him at all times. Here is a pic of me hiking in Yellowstone in early summer 1988. I was 31.

Thats why we arent signing Barkley, Jacobs or Henry. Id guess we arent spending over 5 mil for a RB. ...maybe not even that much. A RB,... i think , if we sign one will be a week or two down the road. If we spend a decent amount id think it will be on a DT, CB, OC or Edge.

Decent amount to me THIS YEAR is 10 mil per. Anything over that would be a litte bit of a surprise but certainly imo it wont be a RB. But hey, who wouldnt want Barkley?

Something weird about this. I know it was cold, but it wasn't that cold. I suffered some from frostbite during a Yellowstone winter snowmobile/ski excursion some decades ago but didn't have to have anything amputated. It was below 20 below.

Agree, I don’t recall hearing this about the Chargers-Bengals. Some guy takes his gloves off for 5 minutes putting up a tent in the parking lot and now he needs to have his fingers amputated? Sorry, this is bs. Some facts are being omitted.

But it is always wise to keep a light saber handy in case you need to slice open a tauntaun out in the parking lot.

Definately they will, they are lesser players. Mattison is a pretty pedestrian RB

I used to backpack in the Sierras every winter and summer for about 6 year span from mid-teens to early 20s with friends. I had thought there were grizzlies in the Sierras too, surprised only blacks. Shorter weekender-3day trips to Gorgonio or Jacinto. I would have failed a prep school attire spot inspection.

Vikings agree to a 4yr/72m deal with Jonathan Greenard DE. Don't think the Chargers will be spending that much but who knows. If they get rid of the big 4, I guess anything is possible.
