I don't care if a higher cap gives the Chargers more money -- but giving teams like the Bills, Packers Rams and Chiefs another 10m is more important to them than the Chargers getting another 10m

In spite of your crisis declaration, LAC will end up in fine shape.
There is no "crisis declaration" or "disaster movie" here. Just available FA's, market value projections, current contracts with previously paid bonuses. Anything after that is speculation and philosophical debate. The future development of Tevi, Feeney, and Lamp fall into the latter category. Hence, divergent theories about the IOL are encouraged... I've adopted your Feiler suggestion. Although speculative, it's sound thinking.
Either way... LAC will be in fine shape (barring unsound FA signings). The question is... how do you maintain that status while working toward competency? Are we competent along the OL sans overly optimistic prognostications?

Players could re-structure or retire. Even if they retire, guaranteed money accelerates. If they trade them, guaranteed money accelerates. If they cut them June 1st or restructure them they only kick the can down the road and become the Saints or Eagles.

As for Tevi, Lamp and Feeney - the market should decide what they get paid
I too am on the Feiler bandwagon - Steelers probably cannot bring him back more than likely

The rumor mill is goin' churning with Chicago wanting Carson Wentz. IMO, His mechanics are awful. His base is fucked and he's fixin' to throw pigeon-toed. Carson Wentz's accurate pass % on throws less than 10 yards downfield was 46% Worst in the NFL.
