Defensive end Leslie O’Neal, the Chargers’ all-time leader in sacks with 105.5 and one of the most dominant pass rushers of his time, has been selected as the 37th inductee into the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame.
O’Neal’s formal Hall of Fame induction will take place on Sunday, Oct. 19 at halftime of the Chargers’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Leslie’s accomplishments on the field speak volumes about his contributions to the Chargers,” Chargers CEO A.G. Spanos said. “He was one of the most dominant players in the League during his tenure in San Diego. Leslie was a play-maker on defense; one of those players our opponent had to account for on every play.
“On behalf of the Chargers, congratulations go to Leslie on this much-deserved recognition.”
