Anybody worried about Gates?

I think the Chargers will be ok without Gates for this game, if he does not play. With McCoy, we never know what is going on, but I am okay with that because it also means the opposing team is also in the dark. I think the Cardinals are doing the same thing with Matthieu, Zastidul, and Ellington. Gates is getting older and is going to miss time from here on out, so Chargers need to be prepared to win without him. Not saying he is not still great, just that he has been injured a lot recently it seems.

I don't want this to turn into something that lingers all season. Hammy's are funny that way, even in young guys. I suppose he's a game time decision, but if it doesn't feel right, MM shouldn't hesitate to sit him.

Absolutely....let him heal. That's the good thing about our TE depth in that we have that luxury.

I'm on the fence. Really depends on how injured it is. If its a mild strain and he thinks he can give it a go let him suit up. Maybe even start Green and bring in Gates in a series or two to see how it feels. Its not his speed that gets him open anyway but i dont want him doing longer term damage if he really tweaks it bad. I think we can beat AZ without him but not so sure if we dont need him for Seattle. Tough call.
