When you watch edge rushers blow by Tevi, his feet sure look slow to me...now, on run blocking, Tevi moves well and blocks well...I like the idea of kicking Tevi inside, because we can use him for pulling...

Footspeed & agility are well above average.
Tevi’s speed, agility, burst, and COD flexibility are on par with the likes of Zack Martin, Conklin, Taylor Decker, Forrest Lamp, etc.
Sam’s issues are what I listed above.

Tevi does not have slow feet. His athleticism, agility, lateral movement flexibility are all excellent. Sam has shit fundamentals, ducts his head often in initial contact, kickslide mechanics, poor drive step on inside counters, lacks grip strength, and inconsistent handstrike placement. I really like Tevi at ORG. With his skillset, size, athleticism, power, length, and some coaching that translates to game performance, Sam will be an outstanding OG with OT depth value.

TScott’s only chance is to move inside agreed.

Simmons kind of sounded like a move toward great defense at first but for a real impact Gus would have to change the defense to the all DB one from New England/ Ravens games 2 years ago. Could/ would he do that? Would a good press corner have more impact?

Seems to me that maximizing the stars we already have is the best route.

Would we have to though? Isaiah Simmons is a unique prospect. We could play Big.05 as our primary defense and rarely have to change up personnel.

Are there any TEs, RBs, or WRs that Derwin or Isaiah couldn’t go M2M with?

CB is a definite need but if the QBs, we like, are gone by #6 and Simmons is on the board, it should be a run to the podium unless a blockbuster trade is presented.

At 1:09 on vid time code, watch Tevi get beat on the outside, Rivers is hurried into a pick:

1:24: Tevi gets pancaked here, then Tevi's man strips Rivers for a fumble-6:

2:14: Tevi stands there like a statue as his man blows right by him. Running play to JJ goes nowhere. Had Rivers dropped back to pass, a sure sack.

Thanks for posting that clip, Ninja. Tevi still looks slow to me--no, not on every play, but yes, on a lot of plays. Too slow to shuffle over and block #94 on this play:

And there are other examples. Hope you're right, though. Hope Happy Campen can coach him up so Sam's at least a decent G...and BTW, the still shots are a reference so you can look at the play full speed on that video link I supplied...

It is not bad/slow feet.
Horrid fundamentals and multiple technical flaws.

I don’t like him at OT at this point. He needs to move inside, correct flaws, and develop better delivery of coached up fundamentals.
ORG will minimize his limitations and better display his skillset.
