I actually prefer the grey mask. Its just classic. And fits the color schemes we most likely go with.

the grey face mask is the best - I like the look

there was a time and place for a colored face mask - now I like the grey - depending on the helmet color

My final color combo guesses. Blue over yellow. Blue over white. White over white. And an new all Powder Uni. Maybe its the color rush. Not sure about the new throwback. My guess is a collegiate blue top and swapped out bolts on the helmet. Some seem to think an emoji on the chargers site is telling us the top will no longer have the bolt backing...the shoulder bolts go vertical and yellow numbers. Like this image.

I love the idea of seeing streaks “bolts” of yellow on opposing teams helmets from the yellow facemask.

Usually not a fan of teh all one color uniform but those all powder blues are very interesting. I actually like that.
I think the one Bosa is wearing the jersey has to be more the powder blue color and the Alts are cool too. That would work good.
The reveal will be interesting.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like the "classic" numbers on the side of the helmet.

Doesn't go with anything, both the style of the numbers and especially the color. Where else do you see black!? To me it very much looks like an afterthought, as if the owners decided at the last minute they needed numbers and told the equipment manager to "just get it done". So he quickly bought some generic vinyl sticker sets and slapped them on the helmets.

I get the nostalgia aspect, but that's not enough to overcome the jarring visual for me.

I bought this off ebay like 15 years ago. Hoping for something similar. I don't care for the yellow facemasks.

I would be ok with the yellow pants and numbers as a once a year throwback...but otherwise, no.
