I don't know about week to week. It's a fracture. I'm assuming your being sarcastic.

Honestly, I'll be surprised if he suits up and lays a licking again this season.

        "you're"

Mike McCoy says he's week to week.

How is that me being sarcastic?

I hope you are right. McCoy doesnt give out much info. The dude probably would dance around telling us what he had for lunch.

You hope I'm right about what?

I'm just going off what the head coach is saying.

Chronic foot problems don't go away until you retire.

I feel bad for the kid. Really do.
We don't know that they're chronic. We only know that there has been a high frequency in a short amount of time and that we're being told they are distinct injuries.

It's a fracture, not an amputation. For all we know, it's a hairline fracture on a non-load-bearing bone and he'll be back as soon as the pain from running on it becomes manageable.

You know how shoulder pads have that hard plastic flap on the top? It sometimes sticks out when a players jersey gets pulled. We need some of those type of flaps made for the top of the shoe. I'm assuming these injuries are mostly from being stepped on by 300lbs fatties and some sort of protection for the top of the foot is needed.

Myself I am more concerned with Mark Ingram being out then Te'o. The reason being is Ingram has been our most legit pass rusher since shaun phillips. IMO it's a lot easier to replace Te'o then it is to replace Ingram. One player I hope gets some major playing time once he is healthy is the rookie jerry attaochu. In fact im making prediction right now next year joe Johnson gets waived and attaochu will start opposite of ingram.

I'm not concerned about Mark Ingram any more than I'm concerned about Drew Brees. I don't worry about players on the NO Saints.

But I agree. We need Melvin back.

Q has already corrected you on Mark/Melvin, and I'm not sure it's worth correcting you on Joe/Jarret. (Ironically, the one difficult name, Jerry Attaochu, you got correct. )

But a few points that should be highlighted:

                          (1) No one on this board (that I'm aware of) values Te'o more highly than Ingram. Te'o is talented and has played well, but his backup, Conner, is pretty good, too. Plus, ILB is not a premium position as OLB is.

                          (2) Ingram is much better than Phillips ever was. Ingram is the best OLB we've had since pre-injury Merriman.

                          (3) Everybody (including Jarret Johnson) knows Jarret Johnson is not going to be a Charger next year, so it's not a very bold prediction. This is why Tourek Williams is on the roster, as the team has been grooming him as Johnson's replacement next season.

                          Welcome to the Board, btw.
