    Quick question.

Wasn't Flowers signed for two years?

If so, why move to resign him now, and not wait at least another year? Are we afraid of a training camp holdout?

What a gift from KC. We must thank them by handing them their asses in 2 weeks.

Very physical player. Something that is more noticeable on those clips.

Watching that video, I like the energy that he brings. This really is our window, Flowers is not guaranteed for us next year. We have a lot of talented players still on rookie contracts, and a steal with Flowers on a 1 year contract. I hope TT resigns him, he brings credibility to our corners. Best secondary I've seen as a Charger fan.

Are you saying this is our window of opportunity? I've heard that before. We can lose all the rest of our players. As long as Philip Rivers can still pass for us, we have a chance for a Super Bowl title. Flowers and the D have been good, so far, though. I'd like to see this last and Flowers stay healthy longer before I give him a fat contract.

SO glad to have Flowers on the team. I really do hope they can re-sign him to a longer deal.

Flowers, to my knowledge, does not have a significant injury history that would cause me to postpone offering him a new contract. So unless you're talking about a freak injury of some sort - which is possible on just about any play, in any game, to any player - I don't think he has anything to prove (to me at least) on the durability front.

My only concern with a big contract - as it is with almost ANY ridiculous FA contract - is the "Gaither Factor". Formerly known as the "Haynesworth Factor". I think we all know what that is.

What was the common factor? Both were Big Lazy. Flowers isn't lazy, and the staff has put him in a position to succeed. There will be cap room next year with all that dead money falling off, however you still have to take care of Rivers, Liuget and probably Shareece Wright as well.
