he's drafted more players from notre dame than he has from the entire SEC

if you were not 5 -11 last year, with divisional titles to your resume, you could get away with it without criticism.

they should probably do an internal audit of their systematic bias
THIS!! I read that Belichick likes to draft players that he has contacts with at those schools so he gets more insight. I don't know the school but if Bill always drafted players from say Illinois (meaning from a power conference but not a great team lately), he has the clout.

But Telesco doesn't have the clout and the track record is pretty poor at picking ND players. KJ Hill at that point made more sense. He might be a good kid but my guess, he would have been a UDFA since he is coming in to play Special Teams. There had to be an OL or DT prospect in the 6th round better than this guy. Just made zero sense. ZERO!!

Its almost comical and you are right, somebody needs to talk to TElesco as he signed two more dudes from Notre Dame as UDFAs. Again, pick the SEC when in doubt.

      Mindless bitching.
What was their record again last year?

Here are Telesco's beloved Golden Domers (and none exactly fit the Zounds! he fell to us variety)

      1rst. Jerry Tillery
      2nd. Manti Teo
      3rd. Chris Watt
      4rth. Drue Tranquill
5th. (just throw in the additional 4rth for Manti Teo)
      6th. Alohi Gilman
      7th. Isaac Rochell

Telesco has devoted one entire draft to Golden Domers :rasta:

If you have an illness, it needs to be addressed. PBF should arrange an intervention for Telesco.

Maybe ND is paying off TT somehow, he takes/signs their players and in return he gets free season tickets to see the boys play in South Bend...

          We just finished drafting.
          Time for optimism.

          Greet our new ballers.
They have to read your non football
          football "takes."

Bitching is a twelve month sport.
          Take a week off.

And I predict two (2) Golden Domer DBs
          make the final squad.
We do not play modern football.

Tranquill & Rochell were value picks for good players.
Tillery is incomplete due to inj but needs to make a huge step up from 2019.
            Teo /Watt stunk.
            Gilman ? tbd

I think the point is that it's not the schools, it's the players themselves. There have been some really good to great players from ND. Ronnie Stanley as Woodeye already mentioned. But also Quentin Nelson, Will Fuller, Zach Martin, etc.

Tranquil was pretty decent last season. Tillery hopefully will improve from last season after recovering from surgery. And the guy we picked in the 6th will hopefully be a ST ace. If he does anything beyond that, it would have been a great pick.

Its not that there aren't good players from Notre Dame - but by and large, there are better players in the SEC schools. So if you want to "fall in love" with players from a certain school, pick the schools always in the title games who have to turn away 3 star recruits!

I do hope Alohi G comes to the Bolts and is a heckuva good player. Contributes on special teams and really does a good job

Yes, you're right that more players get drafted from those SEC schools. But how many of them actually turned out to be good? What's the percentage? I think it's also weird to be getting this upset over a 6th round pick.

Definitely a bit of an overkill.
