we did not trade up to take byrd..... we traded to acquire 2 of the 3 1983 first round picks to try to trade for Elway......and colts gave Elway to donkeys for less than what chargers offered....

after failing in that, we stupidly took Byrd(who was a good but not great CB) and Anderson over taking Marino who was basically a younger, stronger Fouts clone...... even a worse mistake than taking Leaf......

O'neal fell to Chargers because "someone(in chargers org)" falsely started a "rumor" that O'neal's knee was still injured.......

RM was a terrible pick in a weak RB draft.........

And like someone said we actually traded up for whichever QB fell to us, but we knew it would be Leaf.....

Besides the Leaf fiasco and the hindsight of Marino, I disagree with the rest of your takes as usual.

Who was it in the Bolt organization that started that rumor?
RM simply couldn’t stay healthy but no denying his physical talent.
